Union
Finances
Every
trade union must send in an annual return to the certification
officer setting out details of its affairs. Some of the information
which must be contained in the annual return are.
1.The
unions income and expenditure.
2.
The unions balance sheets.
3.
Details of the salaries and benefits paid to the president,
general secretary and each member of the executive of the
union (the list is not exhaustive). The certification officer
must make the annual returns available for public inspection. The UDW's first set of accounts will be available to view no later than 30th June 2007.
UDW
National Executive
The
day to day running of the UDW will be the responsibility of
its national executive. All positions of the national executive
are elected positions. Each member of the UDW will be entitled
to stand as a candidate. The UDW's elections to It's national executive will be held In June/July 2007.
The founders of the UDW believe its principals can be achieved
and will provide a solid foundation for delivering honest and
effective representation for its members in the workplace.
