A WARM WELCOME TO ALL CARE WORKER MEMBERS
The UDW wish to extend a warm welcome to its new members in the care home sector.
We are being contacted frequently by many employees in this industry who seem to endure the same issues of bullying, poor working conditions and wage / contract problems. Many care workers do an extremely difficult job with enormous responsibility and can even sometimes experience abusive conduct. Many work very long hours with little or no extra pay or thanks yet can find themselves in serious trouble with no support when an accusation is made or something goes wrong.
The UDW is very pleased to have appointed an official with excellent experience in the care field to assist, advise and support care workers with employment related problems and solutions.
